Flying Squirrels is a conceptual D.C. based small company that manufactures skateboards and skateboard parts. They prioritize quality and durability for an affordable price. Skateboard wheels often have a compromise between performance and comfort, a softer wheel is going to ride a lot smoother than a harder wheel, but it wont be easy to powerslide and will wear down quickly. Harder wheels are only practical for smooth concrete surfaces, reducing the usability. Flying squirrels uses a special abrasion resistant compound that dampens bumps and allows for smooth controlled slides.
